A structured, compassionate approach guided by 12-step principles and peer accountability
Our residents follow a consistent daily schedule that promotes healing and accountability. Days begin with morning meeting and meditation, followed by household responsibilities, work or educational pursuits, evening recovery meetings, and structured community time. Bedtime routines support healthy sleep and reflection. This predictable rhythm helps residents transition from chaotic patterns to stable, purposeful living.
At Westridge, recovery happens in community. Our peer support model pairs newer residents with experienced housemates who share their journey. We believe the strongest recovery comes from mutual support—when someone walks alongside you, understanding the struggle firsthand. Regular house meetings, accountability partnerships, and shared experiences create an environment where residents genuinely invest in each other's success.
Our homes provide clean, comfortable spaces where residents can rest, recover, and thrive
Shared bedrooms feature full-size beds with clean linens, individual storage lockers, and comfortable bedding. Private rooms are available for residents seeking additional privacy during their recovery. All rooms are regularly cleaned and maintained to provide a peaceful, welcoming rest environment.
Multiple full bathrooms with hot water, clean towels, and basic toiletries ensure residents have access to dignified self-care. We maintain high cleanliness standards with a posted cleaning schedule. Shared bathrooms reinforce community responsibility and household cooperation.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, and cooking supplies. Residents participate in meal planning and cooking, building life skills and saving costs. Weekend community dinners bring everyone together, strengthening bonds through shared meals and conversation.
Comfortable living rooms with comfortable seating, TV, and board games provide space for relaxation and community building. Dining areas accommodate group meals and meetings. These shared spaces are where genuine friendships form and support is given and received daily.
Access to front and back yards with seating areas perfect for reflection, walking, and peaceful conversation. Outdoor spaces provide respite from routine, connection with nature, and a place to debrief with housemates about the day's challenges and victories.
Water, gas, electricity, WiFi, and cable TV are included in monthly fees. On-site laundry facilities with provided detergent. Assigned parking available. We provide the stability of included utilities so residents can focus entirely on recovery and rebuilding.

Honest answers to common questions about Westridge recovery homes
Westridge is built on genuine compassion for recovery. We combine structure with flexibility, understanding that each person's journey is unique. Our homes emphasize authentic peer support where residents truly invest in each other's success. We're guided by 12-step principles but welcoming to all paths of recovery. Staff and residents have personal recovery experience, creating an environment of real understanding. Most importantly, we treat residents with dignity—you're not a number here, you're part of our family.
Most residents stay 6-12 months, which provides time for genuine recovery work and skill-building. We recommend a minimum of 90 days for meaningful progress. Some residents stay 18+ months based on their needs and goals. Length of stay is flexible and individualized. We work with you to determine when you're ready for independence, but we don't rush the process. We believe lasting recovery takes time.
Yes. All residents complete a drug screening at admission. Random screenings occur throughout residency—some monthly, some quarterly depending on individual progress. We believe accountability keeps us honest with ourselves and each other. Any positive result or refusal to submit results in immediate discharge without refund. This isn't punishment—it's clarity about our core commitment: 100% sobriety for everyone here. It protects the entire community.
Visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Visitors must be pre-approved by our house manager. We restrict visits during the first 30 days except in family emergencies to allow residents to adjust and focus on recovery. All visitors must sign in/out and follow house rules. These policies protect the recovery environment for everyone. Family involvement is important—we just want to do it thoughtfully.
Absolutely—we strongly encourage it. Most residents maintain employment or pursue education. We see work and school as essential to recovery because they provide purpose, structure, and the foundation for rebuilding your life. We can connect you with job search resources, apprenticeships, and educational programs. Having meaningful work or studies helps you integrate into the broader community and builds confidence in your recovery.
We understand that recovery isn't always linear, but our policy is clear: any use results in immediate discharge. This isn't about punishment or judgment. It's about maintaining an environment where everyone committed to sobriety can heal. If you relapse, we'll help connect you with additional treatment or higher levels of care. We believe in you—which is why we hold this boundary. Many residents have returned to Westridge after relapse and their second chance. Hope never dies.
Many residents manage mental health conditions alongside addiction. We provide referrals to therapists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric hospitals as needed. We can discuss medication management with your healthcare provider. Regular 12-step meetings and peer support help with emotional wellbeing. However, we're not a mental health facility. For serious mental health crises, we refer to emergency services. Taking care of your mental health is taking care of your recovery.
Most people starting recovery don't feel ready—that's normal. What matters is willingness. Are you willing to try? Are you willing to be honest? Are you willing to ask for help and listen to others' experience? If yes, then you belong here. Recovery happens with people just like you, sitting next to you, saying "me too." You're not expected to be perfect—you're expected to be genuine. Reach out and let's talk.
